Here at our Montana Home Orchard Project, we are winding up pruning and scion collection and starting to bench graft new trees for future years crops. These bench grafted trees can also be sold this spring- however plants sold in the year they are grafted are very tender and require special care.

*Rescue varieties are gathered from unknown, high quality local trees.

Prices range from $10 for baby bench grafts, $15-20 for one-year old whips, $25-35 for 2-3 year old well-branched trees, up to $100 for large multi-variety trees. All are grown and dug right here.

Orders for custom grafted trees are available until the end of April. My second grafting window will be the last two weeks of August.

Best planting time: April -May
Worst planting time: June - August
Acceptable planting time: mid-September - mid-October
